EDGE Consulting and Sales is expanding its Rocky Mountain presence and looking for a dynamic Regional Sales Engineer. This individual will work with us long term in Colorado. The Regional Sales Engineer will initially be responsible for the sale of EDGE principle lines in Colorado. The right individual will soon be a full Director and will also cover Utah, and Northern New Mexico.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual who can excel at working remote within a distributed team environment. The foundation of the territory has been built. Now we need someone local to drive production to the next level.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to create long term raving fans out of the end customer community. Our customer’s are extremely technical and appreciate working with professionals that can help them solve system level problems. A college degree in engineering or marketing is required.
Candidates for the Regional Sales Engineer position should be comfortable with the following work practices:
- Doing the right thing and taking care of customers
- Being uncomfortable
- Making 40 calls prospecting phone calls a day
- Finding and closing new customers
- Maintaining a perfect forecast
- Reporting activities daily
- A track record of generating new quotes
- Face to Face meetings 3 days a week
- Outlining their major activities in a weekly report to principals every week.
- Converting leads into quotes into closed orders
- Presenting in front of large groups of engineers
- Scheduling appointments with qualified end customers
- Google Docs and Constant Contact
- Inputting new contacts into the company database every week
Candidates for the Regional Sales Engineer position should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 – 10 years of sales experience, with at least 1 – 2 of those selling to engineers
- 3 – 5 years of engineering experience
- 3 – 5 years of sales management experience
- Experience with aerospace/defense industry
- Experience closing large and small deals
- Mixture of both inside and outside sales experience
